Leaving feedback

Feedback is one of Emblema's core mechanisms: it lets speakers improve, helps organizers measure event quality, and earns you platform badges along the way.

Where to submit feedback

There are two main entry points:

Talk feedback (after attending a talk)

After a talk ends, the speaker or the event signage usually shares a QR code that points at:

/feedback/talk/<speakerId>/<talkId>

or, for talks that were submitted through a C4P process and are linked to a specific application:

/feedback/talk/<speakerId>/<talkId>/<applicationId>

Open the link, sign in with your Emblema account if you are not already authenticated, and the talk feedback form appears.

The form typically asks you to rate:

  • Content of the talk.
  • Delivery of the speaker.
  • Slide quality when applicable.
  • An optional free-form comment.

You submit the form once per talk; trying to submit again returns an "already submitted" message.

Event feedback

Some Spaces collect global feedback at the end of an event, separately from the per-talk feedback. The link follows this pattern:

/event/<eventId>/feedback

The same single-submit rule applies: one event feedback per attendee.

Where your feedback lives

Open /dashboard/feedback to see all the feedback you have submitted, grouped by event and talk. From there you can:

  • See the rating you gave.
  • Re-read your comment.
  • Jump to the talk page to see slides or recordings.

You cannot edit a submitted feedback — the platform stores it as-is once you confirm.

Anonymity

Your feedback is shown to the speaker and the organizer, but only in the aggregated form configured by the Space. By default speakers see the rating and comment, while attendee identity is kept private unless the organizer explicitly enables identifiable feedback (used in some private workshops).

Earning feedback badges

Submitting feedback consistently earns you the Feedback badge family:

BadgeThreshold
Feedback BronzeFirst feedback submitted
Feedback SilverHigher feedback count
Feedback GoldHigher feedback count
Feedback PlatinumHigher feedback count
Feedback DiamondTop tier

The exact thresholds may change as the platform evolves; the badge wallet shows the requirement currently used.

Tips for useful feedback

  • Be specific: "I would have appreciated a deeper dive into the deployment steps" is more useful than "good talk".
  • Comment on content, delivery and takeaways separately.
  • Avoid personal attacks — feedback is shared with speakers.

Troubleshooting

  • The QR link returns "form not available". Either the talk is not yet finished or the talk window has been closed by the organizer. Reach out to the Space team.
  • I cannot find a previous feedback in my dashboard. Feedback always appears under /dashboard/feedback — if it is missing, the submission may have failed. Re-open the QR link and try again.
